Origin Notes and History:

Crenelle Mountain adopted 19 December 1968 on 92N; not "Mount Crenelle" as originally submitted to BC Geographic Division in January 1928 by Don Munday, and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer (Ottawa file OBF 1018). Name changed to Grenelle Mountain 1 May 1978 on 92N/6, to conform to entrenched usage in the mountaineering community.
