Some confusion about spelling: 1901 Field Book 61/01 ph.69 identifies this place as Thomson's Landing. "After one of the first settlers here, J.W. Thompson." ( from the manuscript of E. Picard, reprinted in Nelson Daily News, 8 June 1931). James William Thomson was Notary Public here in 1901.
