Origin Notes and History:

Bolton Creek adopted 1 December 1955 on 82E/NW applied to a small creek flowing into Robert Lake at 49 56 - 119 24. Field surveys confirmed that this is the upper reaches of a larger watercourse flowing through Robert Lake thence SW through Kelowna into Okanagan Lake, and the name "Bolton Creek" was extended downstream accordingly. Name changed to Brandt Creek 1 October 1978 on 82E/14, to reflect the long-established local name for the downstream portion, as identified on water licences since cWW I (Water Rights file 0142167) (file K.1.55).
