Established by Bill 53: Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995, containing 2025 ha. Redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 2047 hectares (550 hectares of upland and 1497 hectares of foreshore). Boundary redescribed per Bill 74-2004: Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 21 October 2004; the whole now containing approximately 2036 hectares (550 hectares of upland and 1486 hectares of foreshore).
