Origin Notes and History:
Broughton Archipelago Marine Park established by Order in Council 1489, 16 September 1992, containing 11,679 hectares more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 11,751 hectares (2 061 hectares of upland and 9 690 hectares of foreshore).
