Origin Notes and History:

Niskonlith Lake Recreation Area established by Order in Council 2871, 4 September 1975, containing 593 acres more or less. Boundary redescribed per OIC 547, 16 February 1976. Name and status changed to Niskonlith Lake Park per OIC 392, 21 March 1989. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 238 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 275 hectares (243 hectares of upland and 32 hectares of foreshore).
