Origin Notes and History:

Blanket Creek Recreation Area established per Order in Council 290, 18 February 1982; confirmed 15 March 1982 on 82L/16. Recreation Area cancelled and area re-established as a Class A Park, to be called Blanket Creek Park, per OIC 392, 21 March 1989, the whole containing 318 hectares more or less; name confirmed 30 May 1989 on 82L/16. Conversion of OIC to Statue designation per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 318 hectares.
