Origin Notes and History:

Loveland Bay Recreation Area established by Order in Council 3427, 21 November 1966. Upgraded to provincial park status, to be called Loveland Bay Park, per OIC 392, 21 March 1989. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 30 ha. more or less.
