Origin Notes and History:
Established by Order in Council 1189, 10 August 1989, containing 247 hectares (200 ha upland and 47 ha foreshore). Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and boundary redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 242 hectares (190 hectares of upland and 52 hectares of foreshore).
