Origin Notes and History:

Canimahood (Post Office) adopted 14 August 1952 on 92 NE; name changed to Mahood Falls (Post Office) 2 July 1953 on 92NE. Further changed to Mahood Falls (Community) 31 January 1983 on 92P/15, thence to Mahood Falls (Locality) 29 November 1984.

Note that "Canimahood" is not identified in BC Postal Histories. Mahood Falls Post Office opened 21 August 1954, Kenneth Edward Higgins, postmaster; closed 31 December 1990.
