Canimahood (Post Office) adopted 14 August 1952 on 92 NE; name changed to Mahood Falls (Post Office) 2 July 1953 on 92NE. Further changed to Mahood Falls (Community) 31 January 1983 on 92P/15, thence to Mahood Falls (Locality) 29 November 1984.
