"It was a mistake on our part that this was referred to as Wrinkly Face mountain [on the 13 December 1921 list of names for BC Lands' map 4J, Vernon]. It should have been identified as a cliff. Mr. McCaw raises very strong objections to any change in this name such as you have suggested, ie. Wrinkle Cliff. It is very well known as Wrinkly Face. We, therefore, have retained Wrinkly Face upon our maps, and ask that you pass it as suggested." (24 January 1922 letter from BC Geographic Division to Geographic Board of Canada, in response to the Board's suggestion to 'improve' the name, file L.1.28)
