This is part of the 'American Group' of names submitted by P. Kubik of Vancouver: a Vicuña is a species of llama inhabiting the mountains of Peru, Bolivia and Columbia; it is highly valued for its wooly fur. This is correctly spelled vicuña (pronounced vi COO nya).
