Buckley Bay (Station) adopted 2 November 1950 on 92 F at 49º 31' 25" - 124º 51' 00", as a long-established name. Form of name subsequently changed to Buckley Bay (settlement) and coordinates adjusted to 49º 32' 00" - 124º 51' 25". The dual name "Buckley Bay (Community) - Fanny Bay (Post Office)" was established by Ottawa, 15 December 1982 on 92F/10. Dual name dismantled July 1993 by Ottawa. BOTH features are to be labelled on BC maps.
