Origin Notes and History:

Crow's Nest Park established by Order in Council 2492, 8 November 1960, containing 121 acres more or less. Form of name changed to Crowsnest Park per OIC 1181, 9 December 1982. Conversion of OIC to Statue designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 46 ha. more or less.

Named after the Crow's Nest Coal Company, which had given the land for park purposes, hence the initial difference in spelling from Crowsnest Pass, Crowsnest (locality) etc.
