Origin Notes and History:

Claybanks Beach Park established by Order in Council 2218, 7 July 1969, containing 35.73 acres. Name changed to Sun-Oka Beach Park and area extended per OIC 509, 16 February 1970, the whole containing 36.73 acres. Area extended per OIC 366, 8 March 1990. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole containing 30 ha. more or less.
