Established by Order in Council 1097, 8 May 1981; name confirmed 26 February 1982 on 82E/16 and 82F/13. Eagle Creek site added per OIC 2273, 9 December 1982; Burton site added per OIC 1254, 13 June 1985; Shelter Bay site added per OIC 2325, 4 December 1987.
