Adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as labelled on British Admiralty Chart 2189, 1872 et seq. Name & extent confirmed 11 May 1946 on C.3772 applying to a group of 4 peaks (file H.1.44). Application extended 2 October 1952 on 103 H, to include mountains to the north, between Batchellor Lake & Grenville Channel (file D.2.52).
