The first printed record of Forgetmenot Creek comes from the "Preliminary map of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, between Jarvis Pass and Yellowhead Pass" etc. by Mary L. Jobe, 1914. Previously had been recorded as North Fork of Morkill River.
