Form of name changed to Forestdale (station) 21 April 1966 on 93/NW. Form of name changed to Forestdale (locality) 29 November 1984 (Ottawa file 203-2). South Bulkley Post Office was opened in this location 1 August 1910. Renamed Forestdale Post Office 1 August 1922. GTPR station, later CNR with 52-car siding; scheduled passenger service discontinued in May 1960; listed as a flag stop with mail crane in April 1961 and April 1964 timetables.
