Established by Order-in-Council 1409, 2 May 1968, containing 16,480 acres; area increased by OIC 1462, 5 May 1969, and OIC 2932, 11 September 1975, the whole now containing 82,217 acres more or less. Boundary redescribed in Bill 17: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 12 June 2000; the whole containing 33,272 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 33,077 hectares.
