Origin Notes and History:

Adopted 6 July 1950 on 103G/9 as labeled on. C.3746. Named to commemorate RCAF Flight/Lieutenant G.D. Stark, D.F.C. No. J85641, of Vancouver, British Columbia. Stark was killed in action 2 August 1944, age 21. Stark is burried in the Harrogate (Stonefall) Cemetery in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He was the son of William J. Stark and Cora M. Stark.
