Origin Notes and History:

Taseko Lakes (not Taseco) adopted in the 10th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1911. "Taseko Lakes (not Whitewater nor North and South Taseko Lakes)" identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Lower Taseko Lake (referring to the northern lake) and Upper Taseko Lake (referring to the southern lake) were both adopted 5 August 1954 on 92O, being well-established names.
