Origin Notes and History:

Established as a Class A park per Order in Council 587, 17 May 1940. Area expanded per OIC 1384/58, 11 June 1958, and per Bill 53: Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995; the whole now containing 3,067 hectares more or less. Redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 3,145 hectares. Per Bill 17 - 2021: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 2021; the whole park now containing approximately 3 246 ha.
