After Benjamin Franklin, crown granted owner of Lot 53 at the south end of Tatla Lake. In 1892 he explored a route from Tatla Lake, down the Klinaklini valley to the head of Knight Inlet, for a short route to drive his cattle to the coast. The route is descibed in 1895 Crown Lands Survey's Report.
