Origin Notes and History:

Jellicoe (station) adopted 6 October 1936 on 92H at 49 41 - 120 17. Form of name changed to the dual name "Jellicoe (station)-(Bankeir Post Office)" 14 August 1952 on 92/SE. Bankeir (Post Office) subsequently relocated 4 1/2 miles north; Jellicoe (station) re-instated in the 1966 Gazetteer. Form of name changed to Jellicoe (locality) 14 May 1982.
