"Tunjony" is recorded as being an anglicization of a Tahltan word meaning "Muddy Lake." This name was provided by a Tahltan person living at Telegraph Creek at the time, and it was recorded as a loose anglicization and translation, not a direct translation, as the recording team's grasp of the Tahltan langauge was limited.
