Origin Notes and History:

Marble Mountains identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as labelled on Geological Survey of Canada sheet 557, Kamloops, 1895, applying to an area west and northwest of Clinton. Form of name changed to Marble Range 3 March 1955 on 92P. Marble Range extended 21 October 1965 on 92P/4, to include the area southwest of Clinton, formerly labelled Pavilion Range.
