After Rev. William Spotswood Green, MA, FRGS, Alpine Club, who explored and climbed various mountains along the CPR route in 1888; he named numerous features along the way and is credited with recommending the location for CPR's Chateau Lake Louise hotel. Rev. Green's book "Among the Selkirk Glaciers, Being the Account of a Rough Survey in the Rocky Mountain Regions of British Columbia" and the accompanying (first) detailed map of the vicinity, was published by MacMillan & Co, London, in 1890. A digital copy is published by Google books.
