Named to remember RCAF Flight Sergeant David Douglas Witts, R122133, from Vancouver; born in Manitoba and moved to Vancouver with his family in the mid-1930s; serving as Air Bomber with 434 Squadron when he was killed in action 7 September 1943, age 21. Buried at Durnbach War Cemetery, Germany, grave 7- E- 13. Survived by parents Bernard and Flossie Witts, Vancouver.
