Named to remember Canadian Army Lance Corporal James Charles Ardern, K363, from New Westminster; serving with South Saskatchewan Regiment, RCIC, when he was killed in action 3 October 1944, age 25. Buried at Bergen-Op-Zoom Canadian War Cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands, grave 8.C.3. Survived by parents James Charles and Gertrude Ardern, New Westminster.
