Steamer service (USS Company via Port Hardy) established early 1920's. Bull Harbour identified in Wrigleys 1928 Directory. Bull Harbour Post Office opened 10 September 1952. Direct call on NN Company route for a few years in the mid-1960's, then reverted to Port Hardy for furtherance. Post Office closed 27 May 1970. 1971 census: population 23. Coast Guard lifesaving station, coast radio station and Ministry of Transport wharf identified in 1973 Sailing Directions, Vol 1.
