Adopted 31 March 1924 on 82N/8 as listed in 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, and 1915 Gazetteers and as labeled on Reference Map 1ER "Kootenay, Osoyoss, Similkameen Land Districts - Land Recording Divisions" (1915). May have previously appeared as North Fork of Kicking Horse River or Glacier Creek (maps/dates not cited).
