Pinecrest Post Office was opened 1 November 1952, so-named by the Post Office Department after a nearby auto court. Renamed North Clearbrook Post Office almost immediately, 9 December 1952, because of complaints from Clearbrook Board of Trade and from Matsqui Band. Eventually renamed Clearbrook Post Office.
