Origin Notes and History:

Adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey sheet 309A, Stikine River Area, as labelled on BC map 5C, 1929 (Ottawa file 1274). Re-approved 6 May 1954 on 104G, and 22 May 1991 on 104G/12 and 104G/13. Altered application 24 March 2004 on 104G/12; the lower channel flows further east through wetlands and enters the Chutine River 1 mile downstream of original location, as shown on new 1:20 000 TRIM maps.
