Established by Order in Council 2943, 12 August 1971. Area expanded per OIC 0795, 14 June 1993, the whole containing 181 ha. more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and area expanded per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole now containing 2521 ha. more or less.
