Origin Notes and History:
Mount Sir Richard adopted 2 September 1930 with Garibaldi Park naming on 92G and 92J, as recommended by Garibaldi Park Board; not "Pyramid Mountain" as identified in some climbing literature. Also McBride Glacier.

"...after Sir Richard McBride (1870-1917) who in 1903, at the age of 33, became the youngest premier in the history of British Columbia. Knighted in 1912, McBride resigned as premier in 1915 and became the province's agent-general in London, where he died two years later. "Dicky" McBride was a courtly, warm, outgoing person full of energy and ambitions for his province."
