Origin Notes and History:
Adopted 5 November 1946 on 92J. Suggested by Mr. W.C. Girling after the Ronayne family who were among the early settlers in the valley and have been very active in furthering the interests of this area. The name was also suggested by other prominent residents. Letter 1 October 1946, Firth to Geographic Board, file M.1.46.
