Origin Notes and History:

Silver Star Provincial Park established by Order in Council 60, 17 May 1940. Redescribed per OIC 1740, 24 July 1958. Name and status changed to Silver Star Recreation Area 9 June 1978 on 82L/6. Name and status changed back to Silver Star Park per OIC 392, 21 March 1989. Area removed per OIC 1855, 17 December 1992, the whole now containing 6092 ha, more or less. Redescribed per OIC 522, 18 April 2001, the whole now containing 5582 ha. more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 38-2008: Protected Areas of British Columbia (Conservancies and Parks) Amendment Act, 23 May 2008; the whole now containing approximately 5573 hectares.
