Earliest mention of "Silver Creek" might be Report of Minister of Mines 1906, containing a report by W.F. Robertson, Provincial Mineralogist, recounting his September 1905 journey to the mining claims near this creek. See also Interior News of June 21, 1913 for mention of Silver Creek group of mining claims. (Information provided March 2010 by area historian Alan Pickard, former resident of the Bulkley Valley.)
