"Teditua" is recorded as meaning "Front creek." This name was provided by a Tahltan person living at Telegraph Creek at the time, and it was recorded as a loose anglicization and translation, not a direct translation, as the recording team's grasp of the Tahltan langauge was limited. (January 1954 names list with remarks provided by Army Survey Establishment, file T.5.54).
