Wedge Mountain adopted 4 October 1932 on Garibaldi Park Map, as recommended by Garibaldi Park Board; not "Mount Vancouver" as submitted at some earlier date to the Park Board.

Descriptive. First ascent credited to Neal Carter, 1921, but not known if name originates with Carter. Elevation of 9,497 feet from P.L. Tait. Straddles the boundary between New Westminster Land District and Lillooet Land District.
