Origin Notes and History:

"McKee Creek" adopted 31 March 1924 in 1924 Gazetteer, as labelled on Reference Map 1H "BC, Northern" (1917). Ín Héeni made the official name 28 July 2023 on 104N/5, as requested by Taku River Tlingit First Nation. Ín Héeni is the traditional and ancestral Tlingit name (advice from Taku River Tlingit, 2016).
