Established by Order in Council 2798, 14 November 1956. Redescribed per OIC 1201/90. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 53: Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995, the whole containing approximately 149 hectares (115 hectares of upland and 34 hectares of foreshore).
