Origin Notes and History:

Remo (Station) adopted 4 November 1948 on 103NE as labelled on BC map 3M, 1916. Name rescinded 9 May 1956. Reinstated as Remo (community) 15 May 1981 - 149 residents according to 1976 census.

Breckenridge Landing Post Office opened 1 May 1910, located on NW corner Lot 1103 on the south side of the Skeena River. Renamed Remo Post Office 1 November 1913. Sometime before March 1955, Remo Post Office was relocated to SE corner Lot 3998 on the north side of the Skeena River, adjacent to the CNR station. Station closed mid-1950's; Remo Post Office closed 11 July 1960.
