Name required for geological reports. According to tribal history, part of the Tahltan population set out by canoe down the Stikine River to find a new home on the coast. Their way was blocked by a glacier across the river but two old women, Ornostay and Koosick, volunteered to float under the ice bridge. (November 1979 letter from Geological Survey of Canada, file T.2.54)
