Telkwa (Post Office) adopted 6 October 1936, as labelled on BC Lands' map 3D, 1919 & 1937. Incorporated as Village Municipality 18 July 1952. Boundary amendment effective 19 May 1993, gazette date 22 July 1993; Telkwa (Village) confirmed 13 July 1994 on 93L/11.
