Established per Order in Council 2889, 24 August 1973. Boundary changed per OIC 2070, 26 July 1979, and per OIC 698, 31 April 1983, and per OIC 280, 12 May 1988; the whole now containing 10,542 ha. more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997; the whole still containing 10,542 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 11,038 hectares (10,839 hectares of upland and 199 hectares of foreshore). Boundary redescribed per Bill 15-2016 Protected Areas of BC Amendment Act, 19 May 2016; the whole now containing approximately 11, 296 hectares. Boundary redescribed effective 15 June 2022 per Bill 3: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 2022; an addition of 23 hectares; the whole now containing approximately 11, 319 hectares.
