Adams Lake (Post Office and settlement) adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as identified on BC maps since 1917. Form of name changed to Adams Lake (Post Office) 3 November 1931 on 82 L/NW; further changed to Adams Lake (settlement) in the 1953 Gazetteer.
