Named after Albert L. Rogers, nephew of Major A.B. Rogers (see Rogers Pass), and his assistant in exploring the CPR route 1881-82. Albert Rogers died in Waterville, Washington, 16 May 1929. Obituary in Victoria Colonist 18 May 1929, p.1.
