Norns Creek adopted 6 December 1951 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 14 as an established local name, not "Pass Creek" as had been labelled on Geological Survey sheet, West Kootenai, 1890, and other maps through the early 1920's, nor "Norns (Pass) Creek" as had been labelled on 1926 map, Robson; and on BC map 4A, 1926; and on BC Mineral Reference map 4, 1929, etc. Source: BC place name cards, or correspondence to/from BC's Chief Geographer or BC Geographical Names Office |
